COPPER TOP TABLE - MITCH’S DESIGN REQUIREMENTS

Mitch is a friend of a previous customer. He wanted an extendable copper top dining table. He was attracted to the Canela, forged-iron table base and wanted the legs to touch when the table was not extended. The fabricator Max came up with an ingenious design system where the table would extend; the legs would not. The extendable frame would have to be strong enough to support the heavy, table ends when the table was extended. The challenge for the copper fabricator was to create four separate pieces with very similar color tones and color patterns. -- the two table ends, the center 36" x 72" insert and a 36" round Lazy Susan top that would blend together both with the extension inserted, and without.
